Beautiful location/countryside setting. Nice staff and very-well appointed.

Dad has been with Westlake since November 2023. We were all impressed with the facilities and activities. The team are very friendly and always find the time for a chat and a laugh. Tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits are available for everyone visiting and Dad particularly enjoys his wine with lunch. Dentist, hairdresser & podiatrist visit regular as do the local GP community as required. As a family we feel that Dad is in a safe environment well looked after.

We are a day centre (Strawford). we attend Westlake House once a week volunteering alongside Cameron the activity coordinator. We all love our visits and helping out with the exercise session and assisting with the residents and having a good chat. Westlake House is a lovely place. All the staff are welcoming and always happy to see us .Cameron is great, our guys really enjoy being part of the session and Cameron is both professional, friendly, and compationate and does a fantastic job! Hope Westlake enjoy our company as much as we do theirs.

Westlake is a fantastic care home. All of the staff are kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food provided is first class. A great care home highly recommended.

I'm a professional visiting Westlake care Home for now the last 5 years. The staff are very helpful and always courteous.

We chose Westlake for mum, initially for respite care following a hospital stay. She has now been a permanent resident for two years and during this time, her physical heath has been transformed. Staff have shown a consistent, person centred and empathic approach to managing all aspects of mum’s care. From accommodating her special diet, easy access to multi agency support from the wider community NHS team, including community mental health support, community matron, audiologist and optician. There is a holistic focus on wellbeing and mum really enjoys her hairdresser, manicurist, chiropody, spa sessions and daily entertainment [especially visits from musicians and singers]. The Westlake team have made day to day living much more achievable and enjoyable for mum and have brought much needed peace of mind to the whole family, as well as a quality of life for mum, that we just couldn’t achieve at home. From my very first visit, I observed healthy interactions between the whole staff team and residents, speaking to each of them with kindness and as individuals. There is always a friendly welcome and staff always have time to talk about mum’s care. Most importantly, mum feels cared for and looks forward to each day.

Westlake House refer people to me for Physiotherapy so I visit the home often. The staff team is amazing - always helpful and knowledgeable - and help support the residents with any mobility / movement needs. This ensures that they make good progress. All the residents appear happy at Westlake and there is a lovely atmosphere at the home. They often put on regular activities aimed to increase and maintain independence and also improve memory and cognition. I would highly recommend Westlake for anyone looking for a home for their loved-one.

My dad was at Westlake House. All the staff who looked after him where wonderful and always had a smile in their faces. Coming here to see my dad brightened my day, even on the very last moments. The home was always clean and there was a good smell from the moment I came in to the moment I left. My dad always said he liked the food and was very happy “meeting with the other chaps lunch”. Thank for for everything to Westlake and all the people who looked after my dad.

My husband was in respite care at Westlake for two weeks, and during his stay both of us were made to feel very welcome. They provided a home from home experience, the food is wonderful, everywhere is extremely clean and bright. I cannot fault the staff, they are extremely professional, caring, friendly and understanding. Thank you to the staff at Westlake for their care of my husband during his stay. I would definitely recommend .

I cannot recommend Westlake Care Home highly enough. Since moving my Grandfather from an extremely dangerous care home, the staff at Westlake have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make him feel right at home. The care, attention to detail, cleanliness and food are out of this world - the food is something I would expect to be served in a high-end hotel. The staff are all very friendly and approachable, you can tell from the way they work that they are happy to work there, which tells you a lot about the ethos of the people running the home - absolutely exemplary! I cannot recommend Westlake highly enough, especially Bernadette who has gone out of her way to help me with getting my Grandfather into the home and settled. I advise anyone looking for care for their loved one to choose Westlake, it will be the best decision you ever make!
